While we are of flesh let us return to nature to ground ourselves and clear ourselves from worldly life, refocusing on Christ and all His creations knowing all that is good
Nature as Therapist
Kundtz writes this morning, “Nature indeed is a good therapist. So make an appointment with what drives the foolishness out of you.” He describes the wind, “…blowing strong in your face as you stand on the ocean shore or mountaintop, cleaning out, as it were, the old, gathered cobwebs of pain or sadness. And then the sun, “…warms your back as you take a walk in the morning, inviting you into the day, and assuring you that all is right in the heavens.” There is just something about nature that connects with our minds, bodies, and souls to ground us and redirect us, connecting us to the earth.
Genesis 1 speaks of the creation saying, “In the beginning when God created the heavens and the earth, the earth was a formless void and darkness covered the face of the deep, while a wind from God swept over the face of the waters. Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.” All of creation happened before sin, before thoughts of sadness, hurt, and grief. Therefore, it is important for us to take in nature, and God’s earth which allows us to return afresh and renewed.
FMBC Weekly Reading: 2 Corinthians 5:17-19
“So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting the message of reconciliation to us.”
When we choose to walk with Christ, we have new mercies and are able to begin again and again. Restoration is found in Him if we so choose it.
Youversion Verse of the Day: Philippians 1:21
For to me, living is Christ and dying is gain.
Like Paul, may we all strive to live for Christ, knowing even greater gains await us in glory.
While we are of flesh let us return to nature to ground ourselves and clear ourselves from worldly life, refocusing on Christ and all His creations knowing all that is good, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
