We are afforded a new opportunity each day to live, work, and play to the fullest

Work and Play

As the saying goes and was shared this morning, “All work and no play make Jack and Jill dull kids.” We all are consumed with working, whether it’s demanding jobs or serving in our communities and ushering our kids and families around, busyness consumes us. This morning we are reminded of the importance of getting some playing time in our lives. The writer says, “Ask yourself some questions to get you going: How do you play? With whom do you play? Do you play at all? Games? Sports? (These are not always play). Have you forgotten how?” Lets make it a point today to ensure we play, and if we don’t, as with work, let’s pencil in some play dates, not just for our children but for ourselves.

Ecclesiastes 3:12 says, “I know the best thing we can do is to always enjoy life.” May we ensure we do that for tomorrow is not promised; live, work, and play today.

Small Straws Scripture: Ephesians 4:26

Be angry, and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your wrath.

Let us not allow anger and sin keep us in toil and our feelings. Give it to God and allow Him to be the vindicator instead of vices getting into the way of our victory in life.

Youversion Verse of the Day: 2 Corinthians 5:21

Christ never sinned! But God treated him as a sinner, so Christ could make us acceptable to God.

Jesus was treated like us, though never guilty, but instead paid the cost for our sins and guilt instead.

We are afforded a new opportunity each day to live, work, and play to the fullest, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
