He is our all, gives us all, and helps us with all things in life
What Do I Need?
Playwright and poet Robert Browning is quoted as saying, “Less is more”. That has become a common phrase among many people who work to be minimalists. So much is readily available to us in this life, and salaries allow many of us to get what we want, and even extend beyond with credit. Kundtz writes this morning, “It is because an overwhelming number of cultural pressures are exerted upon you and me that tell us we need things we don't need. They are powerful forces.” He then follows up “Being awake and also having awake friends who ask us questions—is the best defense.” Do we really need something or is it just a want. As we work to be good stewards of our resources, let us be mindful of needs versus wants.
1 Peter 4:10 says, “Each of you has been blessed with one of God's many wonderful gifts to be used in the service of others. So use your gift well.” Whether God-given through natural gifts and talents, or through studying, hardwork, and experience, let us be mindful of needs and wants, but always giving our Father His portion above all else.
Small Straws Scripture: Psalm 61:1-2
Hear my cry, O God; attend to my prayer. From the end of the earth I will cry to You, when my heart is overwhelmed; lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
As with David, our Father hears our prayers, whether called out or silent. No matter our circumstances, we can always depend on Him for comfort and safety for He is the highest power and safest and most solid foundation.
Youversion Verse of the Day: Philippians 2:13
God is working in you to make you willing and able to obey him.
Not mine nor your will and way but that of our Father shall lead our way.
He is our all, gives us all, and helps us with all things in life, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
