Do well and blessings will continually be ours

Weariness

American philosopher and social critic, Eric Hoffer, is quoted as saying, “Our greatest weariness comes from work not done.” There is always something to do when it comes to our jobs. For some, if added up, it would be mounds and mounds. For others, it’s like a a domino effect—once one thing is done, something else follows. However, it’s in times of reality checks that we must keep the perspective that all we can own is the present moment. The message today says, “Our feeling of weariness comes not from the work that we have already done, nor even from the work that we are doing, but from the work we have left undone, or the work that is still ahead of us.” We are encouraged not to worry about what is ahead, but as I am known for saying, live in the moment. May we do what we can with what we have at present and do it well and assuredly with our knowledge and expertise.

This immediately made me think of Colossians 3:23-24, which reads, “Do your work willingly, as though you were serving the Lord himself, and not just your earthly master. In fact, the Lord Christ is the one you are really serving, and you know he will reward you.” No matter the situation at hand or pressure we may feel, let us do all things well with the abilities and talents bestowed upon us by God. He will take care of everything else when we work unto Him.

Small Straws Scripture: Psalm 46:10

Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!

When we feel overwhelmed or don’t know what to do next, all we have to do is be, and still our bodies, and focus our minds and souls on Him. He will lead and help us to proceed.

Youversion Verse of the Day: Psalms 103:2

With all my heart I praise the Lord! I will never forget how kind he has been.

Let us always be grateful and praise His name for the innumerable things He has done and continues to do without our pleas. That’s just how much He loves you and me.

Do well and blessings will continually be ours, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
