There’s no greater love nor can we be loved greater than that of God

The Friend of Silence

Mother Teresa of Calcutta can be quoted as saying, “(God) cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence.” The writer shared that for Mother Teresa, activity did not lead to God, silence did; but it is also obvious that the God she encountered in silence led her to remarkable activity. Complete silence is not necessary, yet quieting ourselves from distraction to be able to focus in and meditate is the key. The crashing of the oven waves, the clanging of a wind chime, or even the humming from a fan is stillness enough to help us focus on the Father. May we work to silence the outside world to hear what He has greater for us in this world.

Habakkuk‬ ‭2‬:‭20‬ says, “But the Lord is in his holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before him.” Our God reigns forever, therefore, we only need to pause and pray to Him when we find ourselves distracted and off course. He is omnipresent and waiting for us.

Small Straws Scripture: Ephesians 4:31-32

Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

May we always focus on the Father to take away our anger, frustration, and fear, and fill us with favor and forgiveness to share with friends and foes as a reflection of Him.

Youversion Verse of the Day: Deuteronomy 6:5

and thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

With everything we have and all that we are, we shall forever commit and give to God.

There’s no greater love nor can we be loved greater than that of God, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
