Oh, how wondrous is our Father who has, is, and forever will reign
You’ve Gotta Have Art
Kundtz questions, “What art speaks to you of deep love of the world? Brings you to a moment of quiet contemplation? Today find a work of art that leads you to stillness, to contemplation.” As we know art is a creative expression and can be found anywhere and in many forms. As I think of the many pieces of art we experience during our lifetime, from those pieces we created as children, to those on display in museums and throughout cities and towns, the first visual that pops in my mind is stand glassed windows in a church. Strategically placed, they tell a story and sunlight allows it to illuminated in such a way.
Psalm 100:4 says, “Be thankful and praise the Lord as you enter his temple.” As we enter our places of worship, or even pass by places of worship, let us observe the art and the stories attributed to our Father, and the countless displays of the beginning to time and experiences of those who believe and follow Him.
FMBC Weekly Reading:Exodus 30:11-16
The people were expected to pay ransom offerings to God for…
“The Lord said to Moses: Find out how many grown men there are in Israel and require each of them to pay me to keep him safe from danger while you are counting them. Each man over 19, whether rich or poor, must pay me the same amount of money, weighed according to the official standards. This money is to be used for the upkeep of the sacred tent, and because of it, I will never forget my people.”
We can never repay our Father the debt we owe to Him, but let us freely offer up tithes and offerings as a percentage and awareness for all He has done for you and me.
