In our homes or in the streets, let us live out in love
Staying Home
Novelist Jane Austen is quoted as saying, “There is nothing like staying home for real comfort.” Kundtz follows up in today’s one-minute retreat writing, “Yes, there is a lot to do out there, many cultural attractions, or many naturally beautiful places to visit. They'll always be there, or others like them, or better ones.” He ends with encouraging us, “Today, make plans to stay home for real comfort.” To me, there is truly no place like home. I actually call my home my “peaceful palace”. There have been times in my life that my home was not where I wanted to be because of the stresses, and worries, heartache and pain that accompanied it; I always found ways to avoid it. Yet now, I have been able to find and create a space just for me and my family that is filled with God’s presence, and all the things we uniquely desire for it to be ours. Prayer is the focus, solitude is respected, and joy can be found within each of the walls. It has literally and figuratively come with a price, but it is worth it.
Joshua 24:15 reads, “And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” There was a period in my life that we said we would serve the Lord, but we didn’t live it. Today in my life, it’s a nonnegotiable. God has provided in ways unimaginable and we work to give Him the honor and praise every opportunity afforded to us.

A people estranged and alienated from God yet loved by God
“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.”
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”
God loves us unconditionally, for when we stray He is there and welcomes us back when we have nowhere or no one else to turn to.
Youversion Verse of the Day: Psalm 27:4
One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple.
Let us focus on one goal in this life, and that is to do what is pleasing to our Father so that one day we will meet our Father face to face.
In our homes or in the streets, let us live out in love, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
