No matter what we do, where we go, who we become, He is there to keep us and see us through
The Luxury of Solitude
When is the last time you planned a day of solitude? I didn’t realize the importance of this until I began working with my life coach in 2017. She would require me to look ahead and plan out time when I could have at least one day away from responsibilities to center on me. Today’s message is accompanied by a quote from Charles Lamb, which says, “The only true time which man can properly call his own (is) that which he has all to himself; the rest... is other people's time.” The author follows saying, “To balance your life, when you are finished with living on other people's time, you need to plan a time of your own, a time of solitude and peace.” Whether it’s work, children, partners, organizations, or other things, we must all create time for ourselves. As we grow into adulthood and work professionals, we tend to forget things that mad childhood so enjoyable.
As children of the Most High God, He welcomes us to rest safely in His arms. Matthew 11:28 says, “If you are tired from carrying heavy burdens, come to me and I will give you rest.” Let us always turn to the Father mentally to free our minds, and let us seek time in our lives for solitude to physically rest and hear Him more.
FMBC Weekly Reading: Philippians 3:7-11
Righteousness is based on faith in the act of God through Christ Jesus.
“But Christ has shown me that what I once thought was valuable is worthless. Nothing is as wonderful as knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. I have given up everything else and count it all as garbage. All I want is Christ and to know that I belong to him. I could not make myself acceptable to God by obeying the Law of Moses. God accepted me simply because of my faith in Christ. All I want is to know Christ and the power that raised him to life. I want to suffer and die as he did, so that somehow I also may be raised to life.”
There is none like Him and none greater than Him. Moreover, there is nothing we can have on this earth that is better than what He has, is, and will give to us. That is peace, love, joy, mercy, grace… the list goes on. His love for us is unconditional and limitless. Price tags are placed on worldly things, but our Father and all that He does is priceless.
Youversion Verse of the Day: John 1:1
In the beginning was the one who is called the Word. The Word was with God and was truly God.
He has, is, and will always be; there’s no existence without Thee.
No matter what we do, where we go, who we become, He is there to keep us and see us through, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
