Let us look to The Light of the world to lead us and love us
Gaze Out the Window
When was the last time you took the time to gaze out of the window? Today’s message begins with David Kundtz speaking about so many influences of contemporary life that seem to miltate against our remaining awake and aware of what is meaningful to us. So much seems to clamor for our attention and keep us from being present to the moment. We are encouraged to begin a new custom of gazing out the window to notice. Notice meaning allowing your mind to hone in on the specificity of the object or scene that has caught your eye. As you do this, consider the connection you can make. An example given was; “Is the sun shining? Who is the light of your life?”
That would immediately took me to John 8:12. “Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.’” Let us look for the Lord and His goodness and mercy all around us each day. Let us never take for granted the little things in our lives that He provides that are multiple wonders that only He can perform—and He does these things just for us.
Chosen Scripture: Psalm 107:1-3; 6-9
“O give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, those he redeemed from trouble and gathered in from the lands, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the south…. Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress; he led them by a straight way, until they reached an inhabited town. Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love, for his wonderful works to humankind. For he satisfies the thirsty, and the hungry he fills with good things.”
In every thing we should give thanks, for He hears our earnest cries, and when we don’t cry out because of shame, hurt, or whatever else keeps us from doing so, He knows and still has mercy upon us. Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord.
Youversion Verse of the Day: Hebrews 4:16
Let us therefore approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
We do not ever have to be ashamed of any petition we bring to Christ. He wants us to come unto Him and bring everything to Him; He loves us that much. Let us never be afraid to ask anything in His name, for we have not because we ask not. Go boldly to Him now to share the desires of your heart.
Let us look to The Light of the world to lead us and love us, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
