Pacing

Kundtz titles today’s message “Pacing” and shares of examples where people use this technique. He says, “Pacing is walking a predetermined, repetitive path. It's quite different from taking a walk because it frees the body from having to consider and adapt to the nature of the terrain. It frees the mind from making choices about what direction to take. Pacing is a wonderful paradox: We are indeed moving forward, but we are not going anywhere. And thus, says the Buddhist monk, we smile. Pacing allows individuals to exude energy while processing what exact move to really make next. If necessary, pace, but pray and determine what steps you must make to truly progress forward in life.

Ecclesiastes‬ ‭9‬:‭11‬ reads, “Again I saw that under the sun the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, nor bread to the wise, nor riches to the intelligent, nor favor to the skillful; but time and chance happen to them all.” Though we may pace, let us never be rushed into action, but let us seek Christ for our next steps along our journey, for He know the perfect direction and timing for all things.

Chosen Scripture: Galatians‬ ‭6‬:‭9‬

“So let us not grow weary in doing what is right, for we will reap at harvest time, if we do not give up.”

Pastor Howard-John Wesley lifted this scripture up this morning in our prayer call as we embark upon Week Three of the SEEK Fast with Alfred Street Baptist Church. Today I pray that God continues to give each of us the mindset, strength, and endurance to continue to follow through with what He has placed upon our hearts and minds to do for ourselves, personally and professionally, whether in the coming seconds, minutes, hours, days, or weeks. May we remain obedient to what He is calling us to do, and if sacrificing is involved, we know that it is worth it for the harvest that we shall reap. Amen.

Youversion Verse of the Day: Matthew 6:11

Give us this day our daily bread.

May we always realize and know that God will provide us with all that we need for the day He has given us to live in. He will feed us the knowledge and wisdom as well nourishment for our bodies to continue to carry forth as His willing and able vessels.

The pace of our race in life is set by the grace of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
