May we never put others and things above our focus and love of Christ
The Things of the World
Kundtz encourages us today to take time to consider our things and our attitude toward them. Yes, things—we all have them. There are things that we want, things that have sentimental value, things that we have just because, and things we don’t know why we are holding on to them. However, they have meaning and some value to us. Sculptor and painter, Michaelangelo is quoted as saying, “My soul can find no staircase to heaven unless it be through earth's loveliness.”Kundtz goes on to say, “One can begin to amass many things just for their own sake, or merely for the sake of having more and more of them… It helps you to keep perspective, to know that things in themselves have no enduring value or importance, that generosity is more important than accumulation.” Let us have appreciation for things in our lives that bring value, but let us never put so much value in things that we lose sight that their value is only earth.
Matthew 6:19-20 reads, “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” May we all be of good stewards of our time, talents, and treasures, giving freely and not coveting things on earth for our real wealth is awaiting us in heaven as a result of our faithfulness and selflessness of love as we walk this earth.

Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord
“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.”
May we always know that our Father yearns to protect us from what is not for us, even though we sometimes go against His desires for us. However, like a mother hen, no matter where we may stray, He seeks and finds us to bring us back into His fold.
Youversion Verse of the Day: Proverbs 27:17
Iron sharpeneth iron; So a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.
May our company we keep allow us to grow stronger and better together and not distant and bitter.
May we never put others and things above our focus and love of Christ, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
