Live present in the presence of God each day
Living Spiritually
Kundtz highlights a particular definition of spirituality that says, “the meanings and values by which you live your life, combined with, for believers, the way you experience the divine. The combination of God, meanings, and values is spirituality.“ He then shares a quote by American journalist, Brenda Ueland, which reads, “It is when you are really living in the present-working, thinking, lost, absorbed in something you care about very much, that you are living spiritually." People who know me hear me say all the time, “live in the moment with no regrets.” There was a time in life that I was in my lowest place; constantly reflecting on the past that brought me to where I was, while worried about the future and where I would be. However, in December of 2017 I began my bold faith walk, relying on and need God, I worked to let go of the past, realizing tomorrow and even the next moment is not promised, but focus on the present, which is truly a gift. I learned the importance of “being” and doing just what I desire focused on God’s guidance. This has caused the my joyous and spiritually fulfilling times of my life.
Philippians 3:13-16 guides us saying, “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.” Let us learn to let go and not to things which hold us back, mentally, physically, and emotionally, but let us focus on what is right before us that God is guiding us in and providing for us. With this focus and mindset comes trust in Him and worry to end.
FMBC Weekly Reading: Romans 3:21-26
The one who has faith in Jesus Christ is justified
“But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; to declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.”
W all have lived and done things that are not pleasing to Christ for we are of flesh, yet no matter what we do, God’s love and redemption is available for me and you.
Youversion Verse of the Day: Mark 2:27
And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath.
God created the sabbath for us; let us appreciate it and take heed, and not use it for greed. Let us rest physically and mentally at minimum, taking time to sit in His goodness, thanking Him and appreciating what He has done for us.
Live present in the presence of God each day, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
