May we do the inward work on ourselves to walk fully in what He has planned for our lives
Getting to the True Self
“Getting to the True Self” is a much needed reminder this morning. This devotional starts off with a quote from Indira Ghandi which reads, “The mind can only reflect the true image of the Self when it is tranquil and wholly relaxed”, and it ends with this statement by the author, “No matter how busy you are, spend relaxing time today to give life to your true self.” We become distracted and consumed with the demands of work and life. However, if we aren’t good, we are good for others nor do we truly produce at a high level. It is critical for us to take time out for self, whether first thing in the morning or some other time during the day. Create a natural habit of spending time with yourself; it will truly make a difference in your own life and wellbeing.
Ephesians 2:10 reminds us “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” May we make sure that we bring our best selves when working to fulfill what Christ plans for us to do and be.

The danger of getting in front of God
“‘What sorrow awaits my rebellious children,’says the Lord. ‘You make plans that are contrary to mine. You make alliances not directed by my Spirit, thus piling up your sins. For without consulting me, you have gone down to Egypt for help. You have put your trust in Pharaoh’s protection. You have tried to hide in his shade. But by trusting Pharaoh, you will be humiliated, and by depending on him, you will be disgraced. For though his power extends to Zoan and his officials have arrived in Hanes, all who trust in him will be ashamed. He will not help you. Instead, he will disgrace you.” This message came to me concerning the animals in the Negev: The caravan moves slowly across the terrible desert to Egypt— donkeys weighed down with riches and camels loaded with treasure— all to pay for Egypt’s protection. They travel through the wilderness, a place of lionesses and lions, a place where vipers and poisonous snakes live. All this, and Egypt will give you nothing in return. Egypt’s promises are worthless! Therefore, I call her Rahab— the Harmless Dragon.”
We must remember that our Father has already gone before us and knows what’s to come. It is important for us to seek His will and guidance in what we do. His ways are not our ways, yet we should take heed when we feel His power, for He knows what’s best.
Youversion Verse of the Day Hosea 10:12
“I said, ‘Plant the good seeds of righteousness, and you will harvest a crop of love. Plow up the hard ground of your hearts, for now is the time to seek the Lord, that he may come and shower righteousness upon you.’”
It is never too late for us to begin again, to love again, to harvest and reap again. We only have to humble ourselves and ask—He is there for us and will always provide.
May we do the inward work on ourselves to walk fully in what He has planned for our lives, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
