Be the odd one out and be obedient if necessary

Clarity of Intention

In “Clarity of Intention” it is pointed out that that “When we are quiet, we become more clear about what we know and what we value. We don't accept whatever the unthinking voices of the world happen to tell us. That's the effect of being awake and remembering who you are. We are able to live on purpose, intentionally rather than by rote.” Society continues to be ever increasing to place pressure upon getting rich and getting things as quickly as possible. It also. makes it seem like bigger is always better. Between engaging with others, television, radio, and we definitely cannot forget social media, the works has become overwhelmed with mimicking others instead of maintaining a unique identity.

So grateful to be encouraged this morning to take time to be. The following is posed by the author; “Today, think about how much of your life is on automatic pilot and how much is intentional.”

I saw a post by a dear friend this morning which highlighted a verse from Proverbs 4. The entire chapter is clear with wise directives, to include verses 14‬, ‭20‬-‭23, which read, “‘Don’t do as the wicked do, and don’t follow the path of evildoers. My child, pay attention to what I say. Listen carefully to my words. Don’t lose sight of them. Let them penetrate deep into your heart, for they bring life to those who find them, and healing to their whole body. Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.’” May the ways of our Father always overshadow the ways of the world for us to live fully and constantly for Him.

No not one…

FMBC Weekly Reading: Romans 3:9-18 No not one…

Well then, should we conclude that we Jews are better than others? No, not at all, for we have already shown that all people, whether Jews or Gentiles, are under the power of sin. As the Scriptures say, “No one is righteous— not even one. No one is truly wise; no one is seeking God. All have turned away; all have become useless. No one does good, not a single one.” “Their talk is foul, like the stench from an open grave. Their tongues are filled with lies.” “Snake venom drips from their lips.” “Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness.” “They rush to commit murder. Destruction and misery always follow them. They don’t know where to find peace.” “They have no fear of God at all.” (‭‭‭Romans‬ ‭3‬‬:‭9‬-‭18‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

Let us remember there is not one perfect person in this world; there everyone has, is, or will do something causing them to fall short of our Father’s expectations of us. What’s important, however, is that we continue to strive to be better.

Youversion Verse of the Day: Proverbs 3:7

Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil.

May we seek His guidance, His words, and His ways for our lives.

Be the odd one out and be obedient if necessary, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
