May cleansing each day take your worries, hurt and pain away
Daily Shower
“Cleanliness is next to Godliness” is a proverb highlighted in this morning’s message. As the writer explains, “Most often bathing is a very personal, intimate, and solitary ritual and thus is a natural time to become more awake and call to mind what you need for the day ahead…As your physical energy is aware of the water, at the same time allow your spiritual energy to turn inward… Let your spirit be refreshed…”. Showering is like the washing away previous experience and preparing for what’s ahead, cleaning and clearing your body and thoughts, while being alone and at peace.
Psalms 51:2 says, “Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.” This is the perfect scripture to meditate on as we wrap up our days or begin anew daily. That is an opportune reminder that we can welcome God into everything we do and see how is integral in all parts of our lives.
FMBC Weekly Reading: Jeremiah 8:20-22
Seasons of hope and opportunities for deliverance have passed without any alleviation of distress for the people
“The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved.” For the hurt of my poor people I am hurt, I mourn, and dismay has taken hold of me. Is there no balm in Gilead? Is there no physician there? Why then has the health of my poor people not been restored?”
Sometimes in life it seems as if things will not get better, nothing seems to go your way, and a challenge begets a challenge. Especially in these times, let us always remember there is a balm in Gilead, for God is our source and will always provide healing for whatever ails us.
Youversion Verse of the Day: Galatians 5:14
For the whole law is summed up in a single commandment, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
We don’t necessarily have to like others, but God’s expectation is for us to share Him and represent Him—He is love.
May cleansing each day take your worries, hurt and pain away, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
