Let us not panic with the work and worry of this world, but let us be patient and respond with purpose

Rat Race

Today’s message from Kundtz talks about the “Rat Race”. He says, The metaphor of the rat race as a way to talk about the nature of contemporary life is instructive…. The metaphors we use not only reflect the way we live, but create the way we live. If we call life a rat race, it will tend to become one.“ He then encourages us to change the metaphors to align with what we desire in life. As I prepare to return to work today, I will say, life is an eagle’s flight. Eagles have extremely powerful vision. In this life we are encouraged by the Lord in Habakkuk 2:2-3, “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”

Eagles are also considered powerful and strong, and symbolize courage and freedom. I want to have the courage to do what is right, and live freely the life Christ has for me, and with the strength He provides. Let us remember Isaiah 40:31 as a reminder of today’s message: “But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.”

Let us not be part of the rat race, but let us create our own journey of peace and purpose filled opportunities each day.

Romans 12:2

“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”

Let us not be driven by the demands of the world and work, but of the commandments that our Father has set for us, and His will and ways for our lives.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

Let us not panic with the work and worry of this world, but let us be patient and respond with purpose, my friend.
