Pray, pause, and even rest as you work for a purpose in this life

“Sounding Well”

Today’s message is titled “Sounding Well” and begins with highlighting a statement from famous composer Arnold Shoenberg, “Rests always sound well.” The rests in this case focus on the pauses in music. Today author Kundtz emphasizes “What gives life to the music is the feeling that jumps in during those pauses, during those sometimes incredibly quick split seconds when one note is just finishing its last echoing vibrations, but before the next one takes up the progression.” He goes further to say, as with musical pieces “The quiet moments-rests—in your day make your whole day sound well.”

Matthew 11:29 says, “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” Throughout the day may we take note of our rests in work and play, allowing the Lord time to speak to us and through us about what we’ve done through Him and what we’ll do because of Him.

Galatians 1:10

Am I now seeking human approval, or God's approval? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still pleasing people, I would not be a servant of Christ.

Our purpose is not about pleasing people but pleasing Him by walking in our purpose. May we work to be respected, and not necessarily liked, as we fulfill the work and plans for our lives.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

Pray, pause, and even rest as you work for a purpose in this life, my friend.
