Let us always find beauty in life and comfort and safety in Christ

A Living Picture

The Russian artist, Mark Rothko, said “A picture lives by companionship. It dies by the same token. It is therefore risky to send it out into the world. How often it must be impaired by the eyes of the unfeeling.” As I read this quote and the message this morning, I thought of another saying, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. In this life filled with and focused on social media, everyone’s eyes view pictures of people, places, and things, but dependent upon the beholder, not everything is viewed in the same light. This things we love capture our eyes and are held deep in our hearts, but as soon as hurt or anger arise, those pictures fade away.

But glory be to God, He always see the beauty in all things, particularly with you and me, and His love never fades. Isaiah 62:3 says, “You shall be a crown of beauty in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of your God.” Like Zion, we are beauty to behold.

Psalms‬ ‭46‬:‭1‬ ‭NRSV‬‬

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Each day, and especially today, let us know we can rest safely in God’s arms.

Joshua 1:9

I hereby command you: Be strong and courageous; do not be frightened or dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

No matter what we experience in life, our Father is with us, guiding and and protecting us from falling.

Let us always find beauty in life and comfort and safety in Christ, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
