May we be at peace with Whose we are and who we are
Breathe!
Vietnamese monk and teacher Thich Nhat Hanh had a quote, “Our breath is the bridge from our body to our mind.” Kundtz in the message today says, “Hanh reminds us, when we breathe, there is an automatic connection between soul and body; we are brought to an awareness of our spiritual natures by the physical act of breathing.” We are reminded to take deep fulfilling and conscientious breaths as often as we can, because every breath can bring us to a moment of peace and tranquillity.
Let us be aware of our breathing. Just this week my supervisor pointed out to me that like him, I took a deep breath after our conversation and began focusing on the next task. He mentioned that others have pointed that out about him, too. Now I can share with him that we are two mindful people, who work to take moments of peace when we can, and working to connect our bodies with our minds and spirit as we work to do what we have the knowledge to do and our faith to do what is required with purpose.
Job 27:1-5 says, “…as long as my breath is in me and the spirit of God is in my nostrils, my lips will not speak falsehood, and my tongue will not utter deceit… until I die I will not put away my integrity from me.” May we all work to practice deep breathing to recenter ourselves and focus on what we are called to do within each day.
Chosen Scripture: Ephesians 6:10-11
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
Our strength to carry on each day comes from the Lord. May we seek to arm ourselves with prayer and focus on His word to help us to, in, and through every situation in our lives.
Youversion Verse of the Day: Luke 12:15
He said to them, “Take care! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; for one's life does not consist in the abundance of possessions.”
Our God shall supply all our needs. Let us not focus on greed but His abundance to provide and us never beginning for bread. He is rich, therefore we are rich as His heirs. We shall never truly want for nothing for we have been and continue to be blessed beyond measure.
May we be at peace with Whose we are and who we are, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
