Moments of meditation are mindfulness opportunities to keep our minds stayed on Thee

Today’s message gives a different perspective on triggers. As I have thought about triggers, I think of things that cause distress typically as a result of arousing feelings or memories associated with a particular traumatic experience. The writer today takes triggers and encourages us to use them as reminders for a Stillpoint. He says, “Look for the triggers in your day —moments, people, situations, times, places, events, goings, comings—-that have these traits in common: (1) They are frequent. (2) They are automatic. (3) They are consistent.” He then encourages us to “think of two triggers in our day-bells that toll for thee.” I appreciate this new outlook and way to ensure I still away during the day.
Our Fathers shows us in scripture, that it doesn’t matter the circumstance, calmness can be brought forth. For as written in Mark 4:39, “He woke up and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” Then the wind ceased, and there was a dead calm.” Whether in situations of chaos or just busyness of life, may we find time to still ourselves, breathe, and meditate on life and the goodness of our own opportunities and those who we love.
FMBS Weekly Reading: Romans 11:25-33
We shall be saved-believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
“So that you may not claim to be wiser than you are, brothers and sisters, I want you to understand this mystery: a hardening has come upon part of Israel, until the full number of the Gentiles has come in. And so all Israel will be saved; as it is written, “Out of Zion will come the Deliverer; he will banish ungodliness from Jacob.” “And this is my covenant with them, when I take away their sins.” As regards the gospel they are enemies of God for your sake; but as regards election they are beloved, for the sake of their ancestors; for the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. Just as you were once disobedient to God but have now received mercy because of their disobedience, so they have now been disobedient in order that, by the mercy shown to you, they too may now receive mercy. For God has imprisoned all in disobedience so that he may be merciful to all. O the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!”
It is good to know that God has and will have mercy upon us and all those who at one time or another are disobedient but accept Him as Lord and Savior.
Youversion Verse of the Day Mark 13:33
Beware, keep alert; for you do not know when the time will come.
May we all be vigilant and consistent in our faith walk to be ready for whatever may come from the Father or the Father comes for us.
