We are one in Christ—not alone, for strength is in numbers
Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart.... Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess. ... And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another. Hebrews 10:22-25 NIV
It is important to “Run Your Race in Community”. Hebrews 10:22-25 encourages us by saying, “Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart.... Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess. ... And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another.” The writer of today speaks to the importance of us realizing how vital other believers are in our journey of faith, and how “When we share with each other how God is working in our lives, we are encouraged on our journey.” I have been experiencing some low times in this season, but I know that even those of us who walk in faith will also have difficult times. However, as today’s devotional puts in perspective, we must share in our experiences to help our brothers and sisters in Christ, for when we do, it even strengthens us in the process and gives us the fortitude to carry on. I’m grateful for the opportunity yesterday to have been able to share of His goodness to perfect strangers as I facilitated a workshop, and I’m even more grateful to engage in intimate conversations to those important to me as I opened up my home for us to gather in unity. May we always hold tight to the fact that we are one in Christ, not alone—strength is in numbers.
Reflection from Let’s Read the Bible Together (Micah 4, Micah 5, & Micah 6)
“And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.” Micah 4:2 KJV
John 3:34-35
The ordained are not the only ones who are equipped to share in the Word; like the Father to the Son, we, too, are His children, and we are each the free spirit to share of His goodness.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
We are one in Christ—not alone, for strength is in numbers, my friend.
