May we be led by reflections of our experiences in life, and develop revelations that carry us through life

Going Within

Today’s message begins by saying, “A stillpoint involves ceasing what you are doing, breathing, and turning your focus within yourself.” The writer then gives a directive of how to do this by instructing “Throughout the day today, turn your focus in to become more awake… To help you get started going within: What feeling do I notice right now? Can I pick a word or two which would come close to describing the current state of my soul? Name a few virtues you know are yours.” As we strive to be mindful and help others, may we also turn inward as not to neglect paying attention to ourselves. As also encouraged from the message, let us not make this an analysis, but think on these things about ourselves to remain conscientious and grounded.

Galatians 5:22 immediately came to mind as I thought about today’s message. However, after scheming to the end of the chapter, it is important to lift up verses 22-26 It reads, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.” May we be guided by and exude these characteristics and keep in alignment with the expectations of the Lord.

FMBC Weekly Reading:Jeremiah‬ ‭4‬:‭1‬-‭2‬

“‘If you, Israel, will return, then return to me,” declares the Lord. “If you put your detestable idols out of my sight and no longer go astray, and if in a truthful, just and righteous way you swear, ‘As surely as the Lord lives,’ then the nations will invoke blessings by him and in him they will boast.’”

When we go astray, because we all sin and fall short of the glory of the Lord, may we always return back to our Father and the ways He has established for us to live in Him.

Youversion Verse of the Day: Matthew 5:14

You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.

Our Father provides light and guidance for all the world to see. May we work to emulate Him, striving to do the same for others whom we have interaction with in our daily lives.

May we be led by reflections of our experiences in life, and develop revelations that carry us through life, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
