A Walk Down The Street

When we take a leisure walk down the street, our eyes are opened to things and our minds can be reminded of other things. Kundtz says, “Just noticing various things as you walk down your street can be more powerful than it might seem. The noticing paying attention to what you see, hear, feel, taste, and smell-brings you into the present time and place and takes you out of worry, planning, and anxiety.” He also speaks to how walking grounds us. We plant our feet upon the earth which draws us all near, reminding us of our humanity.

Walking allows us to be present where we are and observe things around us along our path. Each opportunity we have, we must walk in faith. Everything is not planned; spontaneity is important to growth. Sometimes you have to “be” and sometimes you have to “do”. With both, as Proverbs 3:5 says. “‘Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; And lean not unto thine own understanding.’” There is purpose behind everything we do; ensure the Lord is directing and instructing your every move.

They Did It

“Thus says the Lord: For three transgressions of Israel, and for four, I will not revoke the punishment; because they sell the righteous for silver, and the needy for a pair of sandals— they who trample the head of the poor into the dust of the earth, and push the afflicted out of the way; father and son go in to the same girl, so that my holy name is profaned; they lay themselves down beside every altar on garments taken in pledge; and in the house of their God they drink wine bought with fines they imposed.”

‭God is not pleased when we do not stand up for social injustices. May we never take advantage of the poor nor look down on individuals because of their economic status. Regardless, we are all made in His image, have similar experiences, and many times one check or situation from joining them.

Proverbs 18:21

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.

Our words have power; therefore we must be mindful of what we speak, especially over ourselves. Let us be slow to speak, ensuring we don’t mind if our words we have to eat.

May our actions, words, and deeds be respectful in God’s sight as we lead, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
