May God forever be our guide, and Christ our compass along life’s journey
Mowing the Lawn
We all find peace and serenity in our own ways. As a sports mom, I can tune out all the noise around me and focus in on one of my children and be in my own world of peace, quiet, and thought. This morning’s message speaks to a radio host who finds solitude walking behind his lawnmower. The author shares, “Often, we do in fact have times of quiet and peace, times of doing nothing, but we just don't identify them as such. It helps to identify them, because then we will value them more clearly and defend them more staunchly…. And remember to look for your serenity where you might not expect to find it, like walking along behind a noisy mower.” Today, consider where you literally find peace. Is it in the quiet of your bathroom as you lock the door to keep the family out. Is it with your airpods or headphones on while blasting your favorite songs? Notice what may otherwise seem unidentifiable, and embrace it. Appreciate it. Consistently return to it.
Let us always know we can find peace in our Father in any circumstance. John 14:20 reads,“‘Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not let them be afraid.’” He is our peace; therefore let us forever turn to and depend on Him.

God set the boundaries and conditions of creation
“Bless the Lord, O my soul. O Lord my God, you are very great. You are clothed with honor and majesty, wrapped in light as with a garment. You stretch out the heavens like a tent, you set the beams of your chambers on the waters, you make the clouds your chariot, you ride on the wings of the wind, you make the winds your messengers, fire and flame your ministers. You set the earth on its foundations, so that it shall never be shaken. You cover it with the deep as with a garment; the waters stood above the mountains. At your rebuke they flee; at the sound of your thunder they take to flight. They rose up to the mountains, ran down to the valleys to the place that you appointed for them. You set a boundary that they may not pass, so that they might not again cover the earth.”
God is our hedge of protection. May we be mindful of His guidance and boundaries He establishes to protect our minds, hearts, bodies, and souls. Let us give everything to Him for Him to direct our paths and keep us in His safety.
Youversion Verse of the Day: Galatians 5:16
Live by the Spirit, I say, and do not gratify the desires of the flesh.
May everything we do be led by the Lord and we not be lured by (wo)man.
May God forever be our guide, and Christ our compass along life’s journey, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
