Let us not take for granted knowing that our life on this earth is but a vapor
Flying
Just reading lines from a poem in today’s message made my heart flutter, considering it’s parallel made to the idea of drawing near and anticipating the face of God one day.
The message begins with the first and last lines of a remarkable poem, "High Flight," written on the back of a letter by John G. Magee, Jr. to his parents. As a pilot in the Royal Canadian Air Force who perished in World War II, the lines read, “Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth... and touched the face of God.” That’s what he describes as he continually takes flights. As Kundtz indicates, “Flying indeed is the perfect time to come back to ourselves… And the metaphors and imagery suggested by fly support a poetic and spiritual moment. The next time you're in flight, before you take out the laptop, before you reach for the cell phone, before you open your book, look out the window or into your soul, or both.” The skies are as close as we can get at this time to imagine what things may one day be like. Oh, the exhilaration I feel in my heart to just think about that now with this perspective.
As written in 1 Thessalonians 4:17, “Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up in the clouds together with them to meet the Lord in the air; and so we will be with the Lord forever.” May we continue to live as He is directing us, so that we may embark upon the clouds and meet Him face to face.

The good news is for you now
“I am speaking the truth in Christ—I am not lying; my conscience confirms it by the Holy Spirit— I have great sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart. For I could wish that I myself were accursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my own people, my kindred according to the flesh. They are Israelites, and to them belong the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the worship, and the promises; to them belong the patriarchs, and from them, according to the flesh, comes the Messiah, who is over all, God blessed forever. Amen.”
Though there are many around us who are rejecting the ways of our Father, may we know that His word and love is still all powerful and available to us. May we always choose to walk in His will, His way, and with His love.
Youversion Verse of the Day: Revelation 4:11
“You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.”
Let us never fail to give Him praise for He is our why and our how as we go about the earthly journey.
Let us not take for granted knowing that our life on this earth is but a vapor, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
