He is the way, no matter what direction or course we are on in life
Opening
Kundtz writes, “When we take daily time to remember who we are and what is important to us, we can be more open to life. If we are not open, we miss so much! Being open means the realities of life have a way to get into you, the gates are open, and you won't miss what you don't want to miss.” Being open means freeing your mind and taking time to not be consumed with anyone or anything but yourself. We are encouraged to think of a metaphor for openness to help us visualize openness in our minds.
One that was shared was the picture of a child knowing that everything is possible. That made me think of a mustard Luke 17:6 reads, “The Lord replied, ‘If you had faith the size of a mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, “Be uprooted and planted in the sea,” and it would obey you.’” A mustard seed is a reminder that we only have to believe, to the extent doesn’t matter. With an ocean, Psalms 135:6 says, “Whatever the Lord pleases he does, in heaven and on earth, in the seas and all deeps.” The ocean stretches farther than we can see and runs just as deep. It is a reminder of the limitless possibilities, opportunities, and blessings available to us in Christ.
FMBC Weekly Reading: Matthew 6:9-15 “Teach us how to Pray”
“After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: but if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”
Let us remember that prayers are personal. May we go humbly to the Lord with pure and clear intentions from our hearts, never trying to be like or sound like someone, but speaking openly to Him for he already knows our thoughts. May we pray for ourselves and just as importantly, those who come against us. With all that is going on, let us be more intentional about praying for those who are not like us.
Youversion Verse of the Day: Matthew 18:12
How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray?
It doesn’t matter who we are or how long we have walked with Christ with intention; He will look for us to guide us back when we go astray. We are never forgotten or ever alone or lost. We only have to look to the heavens.
He is the way, no matter what direction or course we are on in life, my friend.
