Don’t deny or miss out on what God has for you because it does not like like what you have always chosen or expected
A New Place
This morning’s message encourages us to “go where you've never been, in an airplane or in your spirit, alone or with someone. Go to a new place where you'd love to be, and keep going to new places. A gradual leap leaves less pain.” As discussed by Kundtz, we all know people who suddenly or finally decide to quit their jobs, divorce their spouses, leave the kids, and leap….the pain they leave behind. These individuals are seeking something new, for they realize, but sometimes others don’t, that change is inevitable, even in our relationships. Things have to evolve, work has to be done, needs have to be recognized and newness, even in something longstanding is necessary. Have you evaluated your life lately? Is there anything new in your life, or are things always the same, and most of it painful? As encouraged by the writer, today, take some quiet time to plan your trip to a place where you've never been.
The New International Version of Hebrews 11:1 says, “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” Let us speak into existence our goals and aspirations in love and life, and step out in faith to achieve them. Let us not be afraid do allow ourselves to do what we’ve never done. Let us not be afraid to choose things and relationships that we may not have chosen before or things that fit our usual patterns. Allow yourself to be. Also, allow yourself to live in the moment, for you may have what your heart desires in a package that you have denied because of what others thought or because you attempt to do what you’ve always done. Let us remember, also from Isaiah 55:8, God’s thoughts are not our thoughts, neither are our ways His ways; what we think we want is not always what God has prepared for you and me. Trust what He is doing in your life, for He knows your heart, your petitions, and what you’ve asked. He may be answering in a way you cannot see for what you have always done or chosen.
FMBC Weekly Reading: Psalm 51:10-12
Renewal, cleansing from sin necessitates a Divine act
“Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.”
May we all recognize the need for God’s transformative work in our lives. May we let go of control, and allow Him to work in us, on us, abs through us, renewing the joy, love, freedom, and all those things He desires for us that we have allowed ourselves to be denied or neglected.
Youversion Verse of the Day: James 1:5
If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.
May we seek God for every situation in our lives, no matter how simple or difficult, small or large of the task.
Don’t deny or miss out on what God has for you because it does not like like what you have always chosen or expected, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
